what is the difference between web design and web development ?

Web design is the process of conceptualization, planning and modeling a set of ideas to create a website, typically consisting of text and images, in a way that is visually pleasing and easy to use.
Web development usually refers only to the non-design aspects of building web sites such as creating HTML code (the programming language behind most websites).

The design of your website will usually follow your company branding, using logos, styles, colours and fonts. This is important for brand recognition to let your customer instantly relate your website to your business.

How your website is designed will vary depending on your target audience - maybe you want it to be animated, colourful, fun. Or perhaps your company needs a very corporate design that is clean and simple.

Web design begins with a consultation process. We need to understand why you need a new site or do you want to update an existing one ? Is it because your competitors have launched a successful website ? Or are you launching a new product/service ?
In order to build an effective site we also need to know:

Once we understand your aims we will create a design that suits your requirements both visually and technically and create a mock-up of the site, to give you an idea of the basic layout, colour schemes, and the site navigation, based on our discussions.

Once you have agreed that the site is ready, we will upload the site to your server, or ours if hosted by us, and make it live.
